Terms of Advertising

These Terms of Advertising govern all advertising bookings placed with In The Letterbox, a trading name of J I Webb LLP (OC450171), registered office 5 Rathnew Avenue, Stockton-on-Tees, TS19 9NL, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our").

By submitting a reservation form or booking advertising space you agree to these terms.

1. Bookings and Confirmation

All reservations are subject to availability. A booking is only confirmed once we have issued a written confirmation email and payment details have been set up. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.

2. Advert Artwork

Advertisers are responsible for supplying print-ready artwork in the correct format and size by the artwork deadline notified at the time of booking. If artwork is not received by the deadline we reserve the right to repeat a previous advert, run a house advert in that space, or carry the booking over to the next issue at our discretion.

We reserve the right to refuse artwork that is offensive, illegal, misleading, or in breach of the UK Advertising Codes administered by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

If you have requested our design service, final artwork must be approved by you before the print deadline. Approval may be given by email. Once approved, no further changes will be accepted.

3. Payment

Payment is due on the payment date stated at the time of booking. By setting up a card mandate (Stripe) or Direct Debit mandate (GoCardless) you authorise us to collect payment automatically on that date.

Prices are as agreed at the time of booking and are exclusive of any design fees unless stated. All prices are subject to VAT where applicable.

In the event of a failed payment we will notify you and attempt to collect payment again. If payment remains outstanding your advert may not be included in the relevant issue and we reserve the right to pursue the outstanding amount.

4. Cancellations and Amendments

Cancellations must be made in writing (by email to contact@intheletterbox.co.uk) no later than 14 days before the payment date for the relevant issue. Cancellations received after this date may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the full booking price.

Amendments to booked advert sizes are subject to availability and must be requested at least 14 days before the payment date.

5. Distribution

We aim to distribute each issue to the area stated at the time of booking. Exact distribution numbers and routes may vary. We do not guarantee a specific number of deliveries. We are not liable for delays or interruptions to distribution caused by weather, third-party distributors, or other circumstances outside our control.

6. Liability

Our liability for any error in an advert (including incorrect copy, colour variation, or positioning) is limited to a credit or repeat placement in a subsequent issue. We do not accept liability for loss of business, revenue, or profit arising from any error.

Advertisers are solely responsible for ensuring their advertising complies with all applicable laws and regulations including the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008.

7. Intellectual Property

By supplying artwork you confirm that you own or are licensed to use all images, logos, and copy included. You indemnify us against any claim arising from intellectual property infringement in your artwork.

Any artwork created by us on your behalf remains our intellectual property until full payment is received, at which point ownership transfers to you for the purpose of your advertising.

8. Data

Your personal and business data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will contact you by email, post, or telephone regarding your booking and future advertising opportunities. You may opt out at any time.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
